I grew up in woodsy New Hampshire, where I learned to love nature and outdoor adventures. I now live in Green Bay, Wisconsin with my husband, Daniel; our two energetic rescue huskies, Louie and Togo; and our rescue cat, Tybee. While outdoor adventures aren't as ingrained into Green Bay's culture as they are in New Hampshire's, we still find plenty of ways to get outside and explore new places!
I love working with clients to create beautiful commissioned pieces, as well as painting my own ideas (when time affords!). Each of my commissioned pieces is the result of an in-depth consultation with my client, and a detailed study of my subject. I give my clients the opportunity to make suggestions about pose, expression, and background to make sure the final piece is perfect.
When I'm not in the studio, I enjoy making outdoor memories with my pups and husband, spending time with family and friends, and serving at our local church. I love the Lord and my greatest desire is to worship Him through everything I do here on earth.
I am a recreational dog musher and have trained my two huskies how to work together as a team to pull for fun on both dryland and in the snow. We are involved in a community of fellow dog mushers, and it's always fun to meet up and let our dogs experience running as part of a larger team. There's so much to learn from working with dogs - most of all, their enthusiasm and constant optimism for anything that comes their way. The dogs absolutely love running and pulling, and letting them do what they were born for brings me great joy!
